Starting a clothing brand has been a dream of mine since I was about 12 years old. For years, I imagined creating shirts that I would be proud to wear and that actually meant something. Now, with the Meaning Matters community and the ability to bring my own ideas to life, that dream has finally become a reality.
Before choosing our products, I personally tried shirts from many different T-shirt brands. I ultimately landed on the Comfort Colors 1717 because I believe it offers the best combination of quality, comfort, and fit for the kind of clothing and brand I wanted to create. It has a soft, heavyweight feel, a relaxed fit, and the kind of durability that makes it feel like a shirt you can wear for years, not just a few times.
I took the same approach with our sweatshirts. After trying several different options, I chose the Lane Seven LS14001 because it is extremely comfortable, cotton-rich, well-made, and has a clean fit that feels substantial without being overly bulky.
Every design in our store began as an idea that I personally thought of and helped bring to life. Each one has a meaning behind it, and many of the messages come from things that have encouraged me personally or that I believe someone else may need to hear. I own and wear every design we sell. In fact, when I wear a T-shirt in public now, it is almost always one of the shirts I created.
Meaning Matters is not a random pop-up store filled with designs that were quickly uploaded without much thought. I have put a great deal of time, effort, care, and love into choosing the products, creating the designs, and building this brand. Quality matters to me because I have high standards for what I wear, and I would never want to sell someone something that I would not be proud to own myself.
That same care also applies to every customer. Our prices reflect the quality of the garments we use and the effort that goes into creating each product. My goal is not simply to sell another T-shirt. It is to create comfortable, meaningful clothing that you can feel good wearing and that may encourage someone else along the way.
